Investments in Affordable Housing

We've seen more investment in affordable housing in Windsor-Tecumseh in the last 2 years than we saw in 10 years under the Harper Conservatives, including:
- $170 million partnership with the Community Housing Corporation to repair and revitalize all 4,700 public housing units across Windsor and Essex County
- $25 million partnership with Valente Development Corporation to build at least 31 affordable housing units in the Town of Tecumseh
- $22 million in federal funding for the 10-story, 145 unit Meadowbrook Lane development
- $9 million from the Rapid Housing Initiative for 35 new affordable units across Windsor-Essex
Every Canadian deserves a place to call home. And for many - young people in particular - the dream of owning their own home feels like it's moving out of reach.
It's time to change that. Our government has a plan to rapidly build more supply and unlock home ownership for more Canadians.
