Met inspiring English as a Second Language (ESL) students & teachers at Assumption College Catholic High School from such diverse journeys - Afghanistan, Macedonia, Ukraine, Syria, Korea, Chile - including Chabanelle from Burundi who now tutors newcomers!
Memories of my family's experience arriving in Canada as refugees 40 years ago and taking ESL summer school. Also - just wanted to emphasize again the many amazing teachers and tutors who get so fired up talking about teaching English to newcomers. Thank you!
