I continue to support the Parks Canada process that - as we speak - is hard at work assembling the partners, land & funding for an Ojibway National Urban Park. It is that process and those partnerships that will create a fully functioning Ojibway National Urban Park. At the same time, it is so vital that our community remain united as we work together to build Ojibway. That has been my position since the beginning of this journey, it was central to my work as a City Councilor and now as a Member of Parliament, and it has only been reinforced by my conversations with local community partners. Canadians want more collaboration, not less. Reaching across the aisle and working together is how you get good things done, whether it's Ojibway or dental care or the major auto investments we've delivered here at home. A community that is united around conservation of our greenspaces will be one of the most important and enduring legacies of building an Ojibway National Urban Park. That is our mission. And that is why in addition to supporting the essential Parks Canada process that is doing the work on the ground to build our park, I will vote in support of Brian Masse's Private Members Bill today. Let's keep building this spirit of togetherness.
